musicsaves.net

I've had the domain name, musicsaves.net, for many years. Finally bought Web space. Hopefully it won't be too long before I get a site up. Until then here's a taste:

Case DISMISSED

After 5 1/2 months and many trips to the courthouse, my case was finally dismissed. This morning a new DA (one with a brain) actually watched my videos from the incident at Walter's on Washington (Oct. 13, 2006). It didn't take him long to dismiss both my case and Tyson Vogul's. What a rediculous waste of time and money.

Thanks to all of those who went to City Hall and everyone who spoke out against the officer and his unjust actions that night.

Houston police Chief discusses Walter's incdent

During 'Meet the Chief' on Thursday, October, 19, Houston Police Chief Harold Hurtt spoke briefly about the incident at Walter's on Washington. He said that no formal complaints had been filed, which is not the truth. Complaints had been filed. I am assuming Chief Hurtt was able to make that statement because the department hadn’t officially finalized the paperwork.

Video

Not by the book: Officer's hand to Adam's head who is knocked down onto Tyson. Clip ends as officer decides he didn't want his rage recorded on video. Camera crashes to the floor.

No way out: Officer forces me to the back of the room. He is telling me to sit down but charges at me so quickly and aggressively with one arm out like he was going to strike me and the Taser in is other extended hand that I never had a chance to sit down. I was quickly forced back onto a pile of things, including a 90-year-old upright bass, which broke into several pieces.

Chasin' and Tasin': Officer decides he has messed with me enough. Stands there for a few, Tasers a guy, Then decides to go after someone else, knocking a young girl into the bar and tasing her father and 14-year-old brother while chasing Adam around -- continuing to scare the crap out of everyone.

Though it should have been the officer and not me behind bars, let us not forget that one ‘bad cop’ doesn’t mean they all are -- though there are certainly others. The male/female officers who drove Andrew and me downtown were pretty cool. One guard at the jail in particular had a number of inmates laughing at times and seemed to have a great solution for dealing with the out-of-control fool in cell 2 who flooded the place with toilet water.

I'm free

My very conservative father came to the jail to post bond and get me out with $1,000 cash a good friend was generous enough to lend. This was about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. I was officially booked around 1 a.m.
Wasn't sure what to expect since he didn't really know why I was arrested. When signing the final papers to be released, I could see my father in the waiting room and didn't know how to interpret the look on his face. Then he disappeared. After putting my shoelaces back in and signing the final paper I walked out the door to the waiting room. My dad was still there, playing the part of his son who is obsessed with documenting life. He quickly snapped a my photo as I stepped through th door.

I suggested another photo outside the jail and he suggested I pose in front of a cop car out front (I'm sure the officer in the car was a little confused). Later found out the 'exit photo' was Rob's suggestion. Good thinkin' Potosky.

I believe the charge was 'Interference with public duties,' a Class B Misdemeanor, according to the 79th Legislature, is punishable by:
- Confinement up to 180 days
- Fine not to exceed $2,000
- Can be conjunct (that would suck)
(thanks for that data Kelly)
